On the Origin of Species ((Megan))

Megan's Book Club

Because your brain needs to forget the painful experience you put it through whilst reading faux-novels (Twilight).

Books you will enjoy and for which your brain will thank you:

Brave New World by Aldous Huxley
- This novel will terrify your pants off and that's a good thing. Huxley asks us to take another look at society and the direction in which we are headed. It is a quick yet powerful read and is highly intriguing (a "page-turner").

Galapagos by Kurt Vonnegut- Vonnegut. Sigh. Read all of his books. This is one I read over winter break and the ending was amazing. The entire story was incredible. Vonnegut discusses our "big brains" and gives another critical view of society and the evolution of human beings. If you're into that. Very much worth reading right this minute.

Slaughterhouse-Five also by Kurt Vonnegut- Read this one as well. A wonderful book that incorporates science fiction into a poor young man's life when he least expects it. Don't expect Vonnegut to be that happy of a read but do expect to laugh. Satire at its finest!

These are this week's book choices. Stay tuned for more next week. Even though I shall have mountains of homework to complete, I shall not falter on my book recommendations.
